Democracy, Electoral Process and Elections

These courses will build capacity aimed at promoting, credible elections, participatory democracy, human rights culture, and the strengthening of governance institutions for the consolidation of democracy in Africa.

The focus of this program is on promoting internationally accepted principles of democracy and good electoral process, increasing the awareness of tools and resources available for the building and maintaining of a sustainable electoral culture developing a support network for stakeholders in electoral processes, and encouraging a culture of sharing information and experiences.

The courses aim at increasing knowledge on democratic governance, human rights and citizen participation, accountability and responsive leadership, and better management of electoral processes. In addition, the courses are aimed at increasing and sustaining the engagement and accountability of leaders and Managers of the electoral processes.
